Description

Growkit Instructions:

Step 1

Prep the Block: Open the front panel of your grow kit box to expose the 2.5 kg plastic-wrapped substrate block.

Step 2

Make the Cut: Using a clean, sharp knife, cut an “X” shape (about 5 cm wide) directly into the side of the plastic wrap. Leave the rest of the plastic intact to maintain the block’s internal moisture.

Step 3

The Initial Mist: Fill your spray bottle with fresh tap water and generously mist the “X” cut to signal to the mycelium that it is time to fruit.

Step 4

Set the Temperature: Place the kit in a well-ventilated area with indirect sunlight. Grey Oysters are highly adaptable but thrive best in a comfortable room temperature between 17°C and 22°C.

Step 5

Mist Daily: Spray the “X” 2 to 3 times every single day. The aggressive growth of the Grey Oyster requires consistent surface moisture to support its rapid expansion.

Step 6

Watch for Pins: Because this is a fast-growing variety, keep a close eye on the cut. Within just a few days, you will see clusters of tiny, dark grey-blue pins emerging from the opening.

Step 7

Time the Harvest: The mushrooms will grow incredibly quickly once they pin. They are ready to harvest when the caps have flattened out beautifully, but before the outer edges start curling upwards.

Step 8

Twist and Pull: Gently grasp the entire cluster at the base near the plastic, twist, and pull them completely off the block. Mist the opening again to coax out a second, high-yielding flush!
