Description

Growkit Instructions:

Step 1

Unbox the Block: Open your grow kit box to reveal the 2.5 kg plastic-wrapped substrate block (approx. 12.5 x 30 x 20 cm), fully colonized and ready to burst with color.

Step 2

Make the Cut: Using a clean, sharp knife, cut an “X” shape (about 5 cm wide) directly into the side of the plastic wrap. Keep the rest of the plastic intact to maintain internal humidity.

Step 3

The Initial Mist: Fill your spray bottle with fresh tap water and generously mist the “X” cut to signal to the mycelium that it is fruiting time.

Step 4

Bring the Heat: Because this is a tropical variety, it thrives in warmth! Place the kit in a spot with plenty of indirect daylight where the temperature stays nice and warm (it loves temperatures up around 20°C to 28°C).

Step 5

Mist Daily: Spray the “X” opening 2 to 3 times a day. Pink Oysters grow incredibly fast in warm conditions and need consistent surface moisture to support that explosive growth.

Step 6

Watch for Pink Pins: Keep a close watch! In just a few days, tightly packed clusters of vibrant, neon-pink pins will begin pushing their way through the cut plastic.

Step 7

Time the Harvest: These mushrooms mature very quickly. They are ready to harvest when the bright pink caps have fully unfurled, but before the edges begin curling upwards. (Note: Their brilliant color fades slightly when cooked, but the delicious smoky flavor remains!)

Step 8

Twist and Pull: Gently grasp the entire cluster at the base, twist, and pull them cleanly off the block. Keep misting the opening to encourage another vibrant flush!
